It is interesting that such a small thing can have a large impact on the overall theme of the commercial!beDazzled Digitalhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12365944744774479391noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4852861054828387045.post-43539117559245250672011-04-28T12:41:51.687-07:002011-04-28T12:41:51.687-07:00I agree with Sven, I agree that kittens are cute t...I agree with Sven, I agree that kittens are cute to the majority of people, but I think that if they'd've done a puppy, it would've appealed to everyone. I think they used a cat because it's more of a feminine animal and like you said Kelsey, the ad obviously caters to women because they have more of an emotional connection to the engagement process.<br />~ZDream Teamhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01429402905811582708noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4852861054828387045.post-74774439154283028542011-04-28T12:41:11.636-07:002011-04-28T12:41:11.636-07:00This comment has been removed by the author.Dream Teamhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01429402905811582708noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4852861054828387045.post-6943277630624907482011-04-27T15:03:26.412-07:002011-04-27T15:03:26.412-07:00I agree.. the target audience I think in this case...I agree.. the target audience I think in this case was catering to women because they may have more of an emotional connection to the process of engagement. In addition to the brand being a cat food brand(so it would make sense for it to be a kitten),I think over all the majority of the demographic would think the kitten was cute. Kittens are something that fascinate people on the web, people watch youtube videos of them and share pictures of them. However, I do think that the commercial could also have a similar emotional impact if a cute puppy..similar to the golden retriever used in cottonelle commercials was used instead.beDazzled Digitalhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12365944744774479391noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4852861054828387045.post-23957197591924331612011-04-25T21:41:18.579-07:002011-04-25T21:41:18.579-07:00Emotional ads can be very effective. Would be different if the ad showed a dog.Svenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08138276096849427112noreply@blogger.com
